Samoa Tsunami 2009

Strong Earthquake/Tsunami devastated The Samoan Islands on the 29th of September 2009 struck everyone with disbelief.

It registered a massive 8.3 magnitude earning its rank as the forth strongest quake recorded. Despite its magnitude, the earthquake did not generate a maximum capacity wave it could have. Thats only due to its relatively shallow location.

Given that this earth quake occured in a deeper part of the ocean, the displaced volume could have been cause for something we're totally not prepared for.

Prayers are for those who lost lives. We will get through this as we always do but this reality check definitely taught us a lot.
